Call our 24/7 line at (214) 744-1414. Provide the arrested person's full legal name and the facility where they're being held. We handle the rest.
A licensed Act Quick agent arrives at the facility, files the bond paperwork with the court, and posts the surety bond. At Lew Sterrett, this is done at the bond posting window.
After the bond is posted and processed, the facility releases the defendant. Release timelines vary based on facility volume and time of day.
Within 24 to 72 hours of release, the defendant must report to our office for an initial check-in. We review all court dates, bond conditions, and reporting requirements, and complete the required paperwork. This step is mandatory — failure to complete the initial check-in results in bond forfeiture, and a new warrant is issued for the defendant’s arrest.
